What’s holding you back from making decisions, achieving your goals and maintaining the kinds of relationships you want? Sometimes we end up struggling with the same issues over and over even though the circumstances, situations and people in the scenarios have changed. It can be difficult to recognize the patterns that keep you from living your most authentic life. Therapy is an excellent tool to increase clarity and identify areas of change and growth that will help you get where you want to go. I have more than 20 years of experience as a clinical social worker in a variety of settings, including community mental health, outpatient treatment and emergency psychiatric assessment. Working within the framework of a growth mindset, I believe positive change is achieved through compassionate curiosity in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. .Together, we’ll bring awareness to how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors affect your choices, your relationships and progress toward your goals. I work with people of all ages and am especially passionate about helping adolescents and parents improve their relationships to develop positive coping strategies, increase resiliency, and foster mutual respect. As a parent, I understand it can sometimes be difficult to communicate effectively with those we love the most.

Give me a call to talk about your goals and challenges. We can arrange an intake appointment to gather information and identify areas for change and growth. Treatment is individualized, flexible and collaborative

I believe life is both wonderful and challenging. During challenging times people often feel stuck - it's an awful place to be and finding someone to help you out of stuck can be of great comfort and assistance. I provide compassionate, supportive therapy in a professional and comfortable environment. I explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors that cause people to become stuck and work on practicing new thoughts, feelings and behaviors to become "unstuck". Therapy is a collaborative and dynamic process and I enjoy working with a wide variety of individuals to assist them in getting the most out of their life.

I am a Master Level Practitioner in ART: Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Accelerated Resolution Therapy, often referred to as ART, is a form of psychotherapy with roots in existing evidence-based therapies but shown to achieve benefits much more rapidly (usually within 1-5 sessions). Please visit: acceleratedresolutiontherapy.com for additional information.

I've worked over 20 years on inpatient psychiatric units and mental health clinics providing a wide variety of clients with competent psychotherapy. Having worked on inpatient psychiatric units, I have first hand experience with most psychiatric illnesses and insight into when a referral to a psychiatrist or inpatient treatment is necessary.
